South Korea was a coronavirus “success” story. Crushed the virus early. Guess what, it is back. See the chart. Still not a lot of cases, considering the population, so the ongoing closings of beaches, bars, etc. seems overdone. But it is another reminder that this isn’t going away, no matter what. And you can try to suppress it, but at what cost? And how much serious illness are you actually avoiding at this point? And how much harm are you doing by suppression measures? Let it run, protect the relatively small part of the population that is actually at risk. Get yourself to Sweden’s situation, with fewer deaths by doing what we know will protect the vulnerable. Oh, and did I mention, South Korea has one of the highest mask wearing rates in the world.
